About Pref
Everyone loves being remembered.
Pref is a small, warm, stubborn attempt to make hospitality less effortful and more precise — one preference, one share link, one pineapple mascot at a time.
Pref started with a stack of post-it notes and a group chat. The notes tracked what every guest at a big holiday dinner couldn't eat. The group chat was the backup. The hosts were stressed, the guests were apologizing, and nobody was enjoying the actual dinner. We thought: there's got to be a better way to do this.
So we built one. Pref is a pocket profile of the little things that make people feel seen — dietary restrictions, accessibility needs, communication preferences, hospitality details, gift-giving hints. You fill it out in about 90 seconds with Pina the pineapple. You share it with whoever needs to know. They see what you want them to see, and nothing else.
We're a small team based in the US, operated by Becker Capital Ventures LLC. The iOS app is in private beta as of Spring 2026, with Android and a business plan in development. You can reach the whole team at hello@prefpref.com.
