Pref turns the preferences you hold in your head into a profile you can share with a tap. No social feed, no friend requests, no complicated setup — just a pocket profile that works.
Most apps expect you to move in. Fill out a long onboarding. Find your friends. Build a feed. Pref doesn't. The whole point is that preferences already exist in your head — we just want to get them out of your head and into a place where the right people can see them.
The flow below is the real product. No asterisks. No “coming soon you already need a subscription for.”
What Pref does for you
1. Chat with Pina, ~90 seconds
Pina the pineapple walks you through ~12 starter questions: dietary restrictions, preferred greeting, pronouns, allergies, the little hospitality stuff. Skip anything that doesn't apply. The whole intake is conversational and takes about as long as making a coffee.
2. Tune your profile
Expand beyond the starter questions any time. 280+ preferences across 16 categories — Dining, Ability, Style, Travel, Personal Care, and more. Set each one's visibility: public, friends, family, or private.
3. Share a link, revoke any time
Tap 'Share' on a friend, host, or business. They get a link that opens in any browser — no app install required on their end — showing only the preferences you chose to share with that audience. Revoke the link when the visit's over, or leave it live for repeat guests.

- Do the people I share with need the Pref app?
- No. A Pref share link opens in any browser. They just click and see what you shared.
- What if I don't want to answer a question during the intake?
- Skip it. Pina is built to be skippable — nothing is required, and you can always come back and fill in more later. A blank preference is just 'no answer,' not a problem.
- Can I create a profile on behalf of someone else?
- Yes, via a 'dependent' profile — for a child, a pet, or an adult in your care. See our for-caregivers page for details.
- How much does Pref cost?
- Free for personal use. A paid business plan (multi-user staff access, guest lookup, bidirectional shares) is in development.
